Creating the DHL Fastest Pitstop Trophy 2019

The main body of the design was created by pouring individual layers of acrylic which were then printed with each layer of the car. This process was repeated 20 times to create the 3 dimensional car within the block. This was fitted to the yellow acrylic base with hand painted red accent and printed award details and logos. 

The finished piece was shipped by DHL to the end of the season race, the Formula 1 Etihad Airways Abu Dhabi Grand Prix, before being presented to the winners.  Aston Martin Red Bull Racing.  The team managed to break the world record three times that season ending up with a time of 1.82 seconds during Max Verstappen's pit stop in the Brazilian Grand Prix.

A remarkable trophy with impressive detailing, leaving the motoring world wondering how it was created.
